We are delighted to announce the successful execution of the New & Emerging (N&E) Communities Programme for the period 2023-2024, accomplished within the stipulated six-month timeframe. This initiative aimed at fostering English language proficiency among community members has yielded remarkable outcomes, enriching the lives of our participants and contributing to the socio-economic development of targeted communities.

 

Throughout the programme, we provided comprehensive English language classes tailored to the needs of eager learners. Witnessing their dedication and progress has been immensely rewarding. Many of our participants, facing initial challenges in effective English communication due to it not being their primary language, have demonstrated remarkable advancements in their proficiency. Notably, a significant number have achieved passing scores in recognized English proficiency examinations such as the B1 and A2 levels.

 

The impact of our initiative transcends language proficiency. We extended supplementary support to our learners, including guidance on CV writing, interview techniques, and confidence-building exercises. As a result, several participants have successfully secured employment opportunities, marking a tangible improvement in their socio-economic status.

 

Moreover, we are thrilled to witness the aspirations of some bright learners who have expressed a desire to pursue further education, signalling a promising trajectory for ongoing personal and professional development within our participant base. Their enthusiasm underscores the transformative power of education and highlights the potential for long-term positive change within our communities.
